The universe tugging at her
Pulling her this way and that
She struggles with the force
Her lips open to speak
Silence spills out
She breathes in
She breathes out
The people move quickly
Never noticing the sounds
She reaches out to touch them
They shiver with the wind
She exhales
She inhales
The beauty is around her
She pulls out her guitar
The melody in her head
Drains through to her fingertips
She watches the world slow down
They stop to look
They stop to listen
She speaks
She sings
And he watches

And he paints the smile
